Astronomy Archives Observatory

For this Observatory Scene, I wanted to try something new by tackling fantasy-inspired aesthetics in contrast to my previous Sci-Fi/Military models. I took inspiration from stylized fantasy settings such as Genshin Impact's Mondstadt Library and Cookie Run's City of Wizards in particular.
Everything in the scene was modeled, textured, and rendered by me while Quixel tileables was used for the blue marble floor on the bottom floor. I took this project especially as a chance to challenge myself and learn more techniques with all the software I used, such as Substance Painter's Symmetry Tools and Unreal's Panner Materials and Blueprints to name a few examples.
It has been very fun and rewarding to try out many new things for this project, and I would like to give special thanks to my peers and professors at LCAD especially for their feedback and help.

Concept Sketches I drew for the Scene. I ended up settling with Telescope #5 for the final look with some elements from #3.

Furniture Models. The Map Texture on the Globe was drawn in CLIP Studio Paint and applied as a Projection in Substance Painter.

Books and Papers. One of my favorite things was throwing in references to Genshin Impact's Constellations and Witch Hat Atelier's Runes on some of the Paper Textures.
